2017 SCHEDULED COURSE DATES - Rochester Kent

Award in Education & Training (PTLLS replacement)

Click HERE for video examples from day one of the course, which becomes very interactive.

September: 13th, 14th, 15th, 18th, and 19th

December: 13th, 14th, 15th, 18th and 19th

The first three days of the course are used for reviewing the underpinning educational theory and the practical implications as well as two practice teaching sessions in groups for fifteen minutes.

Course times are 9.15 to 4.45 on the first two days. We will be finished by 1.00 on the third day.

The fourth day will be used for the assessed teaching sessions, where candidates have to teach for between 20 to 25 minutes. Preparation for this can take between three and ten hours. Teaching sessions are assessed by the tutor AND members of the peer group. Each delegate will be given a recording of their own session for self-evaluation and quality assurance purposes.

The fifth day will be used as an 'assignment construction day' so that candidates can make some further inroads in to the assignment work with the tutor personally guiding, advising and assessing during the day.

The application process includes;

1) All course information provided (by email) – please contact us for the full course details

2) Completion of an initial assessment form to facilitate personal support during the course

3) Provision of a purchase order number, or payment of a deposit of £50 or the full course fee

The guided learning hours are said to be around 48. There will be approximately ten to fifteen hours of work to do on the three assignments after the taught course element has finished, with dedicated individual email support until successful completion.
